Fabrication/Upfitting Technician: Must have knowledge and some experience of truck upfitting as it relates to installing truck bodies such as flatbeds, dump bodies, services bodies etc.  More experience and supervisory experience a plus.  Welding experience also a plus. 

Full time position, weekdays, 40 hours/wk, with benefits. (Health and dental insurance, Holidays, Vacation or PTO, and Vision plan)

Qualifications: Experience with manufacturing and installing truck equipment such as truck bodies and snow/ice equipment.  Supervisory experience a plus. 

Expectations: An understanding of build outs and the in-field applications related to work truck bodies and hoists (hydraulics) etc.

Established manufacturing company in Blue Earth MN since 1963.  We manufacture steel and aluminum truck bodies and hoists for a variety of industry needs i.e. agriculture, construction, landscaping etc.

• This is physical work, and applicants must be able to lift and stretch

• Work from and in accordance with specifications and design criteria including but not limited to verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints; performs standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tolerances, and tooling.

• Use a variety of equipment such as press breaks, drill presses, plasma cutter, punch press, and both common and specialty hand/air/power tools. 

• Understanding of a variety of assembly processes such as bolting, riveting, welding, and hucking.  

• Forklift operation (if applicable to the position)

• Welding (if applicable to the position) 


Supervisory Positions: 


• Team collaborations with management, sales, manufacturing leads and vendors 

• An understanding of procurement and logistics processes 

• Managing and monitoring project schedules and work processes for self and assigned co-workers

• Quality control, motivating teams, documenting progress

• Reports to the General Manager / Other department leads
